In a dramatic turn of events, Benue youths have arrested a notorious serial child trafficker who has been on the run for several years. The trafficker, identified as Doosuur, has been taken into custody and is facing charges of child trafficking.
According to the Benue State Commander of the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Gloria Bai, the alleged trafficker is a serial offender who has been in the business of child trafficking since 2018. During interrogation, Doosuur reportedly confessed to having sold four children to a Lagos-based trafficker for N700,000 each.
An eyewitness, who requested anonymity, revealed that Doosuur has been involved in the trafficking business for years and had managed to evade arrest until her luck ran out. She was apprehended at her North Bank residence by the youth, who promptly handed her over to the Joint Operation Taskforce, code-named Operation Zenda, for further investigation.
