The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the 2023 results of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Recall that the examination was conducted and written between Tuesday, April 25 and Monday, May 1.
JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin said on Tuesday in a statement that a total of 1,595,779 candidates registered to sit in 708 CBT centres in 105 towns.
But the results released so far excluded those of candidates who were rescheduled to take their examination on Saturday, May 6 and those who could not make it to their centres due to one reason or the other.
Others who may not see their results immediately include candidates under investigation as well as those of visually impaired. According to the spokesman, their results were undergoing processing.
To check the results, candidates are to send UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used for registration.
”Also to be noted is the fact that the released results, when checked by candidates, would return the status of the candidates.
”For instance, with respect to absent or rescheduled candidates, or those under investigation, the response would be: YOU WERE ABSENT, RESCHEDULED OR UNDER INVESTIGATION,” the statement reads.
