Fuel tanker explosion Kills 6, injures others in Plateau

A fuel-laden truck caught fire on Bauchi Road near the University of Jos, Plateau State capital, resulting in the death of six people and leaving many others injured. The incident caused panic within the university community as students and passers-by were seen running for safety. The accident led to the death of motorists and passers-by, and several others were injured within the busy area of Bauchi Road in Jos.

An eyewitness at the scene reported that six bodies were recovered, but the number of injured persons was yet to be determined. The Plateau State Director of Fire Service, Caleb Bitrus, confirmed the fire incident to reporters, but their trucks were undergoing maintenance, and they couldn’t attempt to put out the fire.
