Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto, has said the moon has been the sighted.
With the sighting of the moon, Ramadan fasting has ended.
Abubakar, while making the announcement in a live broadcast on Thursday, said his office received information on the sighting of the moon, signifying the end of fasting.
He declared Friday 21st of April 2023 as the first day of Shawwal 1444AH in Nigeria.
The Sultan felicitated Nigerian Muslims and wished them God’s guidance and blessings, urging them to continue to pray for peace progress and development of the country
