Must read

Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom, a renowned industrialist and farmer, has revealed his intentions to return to his farming business after loosing his bid for Senate to represent the people of Benue North-West Senatorial district popularly known as zone ‘B.’ In an interview with the media in Makurdi, Ortom reiterated that he is a product of divine intervention and will accept God’s will should he not emerge victorious.

As a testament to his words, the governor has withdrawn the case from the tribunal against the candidate of Titus Zam, the APC, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He also offered an apology to anyone he might have offended during his time of service.

Ortom’s close associate stated that the governor has performed admirably as a politician, and the state still requires his wise counsel and advice in numerous areas. He will be remembered, particularly for his efforts to combat insecurity in the state.

In a similar vein, the chief press secretary to Abia State Governor, Onyebuchi Ememanka, commented that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is focused on delivering on his campaign promises and is not distracted by thoughts of what to do next when his term ends.

However, the future plans of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State remain unclear. While an aide stated that Tambuwal is currently focused on the Sokoto South senatorial district seat, which he is the leading candidate for, it is uncertain what he plans to do if he does not win the seat.

Governor Ortom’s plan to return to farming after losing his bid for Senate demonstrates his unwavering dedication to his passions. His decision to withdraw the case from the tribunal and apologize to anyone he may have offended is a testament to his character. As for Governor Ikpeazu and Tambuwal, time will tell what the future holds for them.
