We won’t allow them – Police reacts as Eze invites IPOB to Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has said it will not allow the call by one Eze Igbo of Ajao Estate, Fredrick Nwajagu where he invited the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, to the state to succeed.

Recall that the Eze invited IPOB members to secure the properties of the Igbo people in the state.

Consequently, Nwajagu was arrested by the Nigeria Police and the Department of State Services, DSS at a hotel in Ejigbo.

Nwajagu in a video said the call was necessary following the attacks on Igbo residents in the state.

Within weeks shops mainly belonging to the Igbos have been targeted and set on fire by suspected arsonists.

Reacting, the spokesman of Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin said the command would not fold its arms and allow such in the state.

In a tweet, Hundeyin wrote: “To start with, the ever-ready @LagosPoliceNG will never fold its arms and allow such within the state.”
