FCT senator-elect calls for collaboration to develop Abuja

Must read

Hajiya Ireti Kingibe, the Senator-elect for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) under the Labour Party, has called on her co-contestants in the election to join hands with her to move Abuja Federal to greater heights. In a recent interview with journalists in Abuja, Ireti acknowledged the input of her predecessors in making Abuja what it is today, including her predecessor, Philip Aduda, who has given FCT his best in the last 12 years.

Ireti emphasized that the victory is not about her but for the people of the FCT, and promised to reach out to other contestants to make them understand the need for collaboration. She stated that she is willing to work with everybody irrespective of the political party they represent. She urged all parties in the FCT, including the Labor Party, APC, PDP, APGA YPP, and SDP, to see FCT as the mother for the rest of the States.

Ireti said she wants everyone to consider her as their senator, regardless of party affiliation. She promised to throw things open to everybody when things are needed, and the best-qualified person will get the job, regardless of where they’re coming from.

On her political journey, Ireti said it has not been about her alone, and that some special women gave her support in their different ways when she started in 2003. She further promised to continue from where her predecessor left off in her bid to take FCT to places it has not been before.

The call for collaboration from the Senator-elect, Ireti Kingibe, is a significant step towards the development of the Federal Capital Territory, and her willingness to work with everyone, regardless of political affiliations, is commendable. With her determination and commitment to moving FCT forward, it is hoped that she will achieve her set goals and objectives.
