Must read

On Monday, a tragic shooting occurred at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee. The shooter, a 28-year-old former student, opened fire in the private Christian elementary school, killing three 9-year-old children and three adults, including the school’s head and a custodian. The shooter was killed during gunfire with police.

Authorities have revealed that the shooter had drawn detailed maps of the school, including entry points to the building. Additionally, they have found writings from the shooter that they are currently reviewing. The shooter used two AR-style weapons and a handgun, which were all purchased legally.

This latest shooting has reignited calls for gun control. Brady: United Against Gun Violence, a US non-profit organization advocating for gun control and against gun violence, is urging voters to support candidates who prioritize gun violence prevention. The organization’s president, Kris Brown, is calling for the implementation of an assault weapons ban, extreme risk protection law, and permitting system across the country.

The tragedy in Nashville has touched many hearts, with three children and three adults losing their lives in the shooting. Cynthia Peak, Katherine Koonce, and Mike Hill, all of whom were half a century older than the children, were among the victims. The children who died were Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney.

This mass shooting is just one in a series that have plagued the country.
