Labour Party aspirant passes.

Chief Humphrey Anumudu, a prominent Labour Party gubernatorial aspirant in Imo State, has passed away. The lawyer and serial governorship aspirant since 1998 died on Friday after a brief illness at his Lagos residence, according to an anonymous family source.
The source stated that Barrister Humphrey had traveled to Abuja for a meeting but realized upon arrival that he had forgotten a vital document in Lagos. He returned home to retrieve it but lost consciousness upon arrival, and was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Chief Humphrey was a philanthropist and active member of the Labour Party. In January of the same year, he donated 27 buses to the Imo state chapter of the Labour Party to support their campaign efforts. In 1998, he won the governorship primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party for Imo state but stepped down for Chief Achike Udenwa, who went on to govern for eight years.
Chief Humphrey Anumudu hailed from Mbaitoli in Imo state and had lost his brother, Chief Willy Anumudu, who was the Chairman of Globe Motors, in April 2020. His sudden demise is a great loss to the Labour Party and the entire Imo state community.
