Obaseki’s CoS commends Edo assembly election, criticizes Oshiomhole, APC

Must read

According to a statement by Hon. Osaigbovo Iyoha, the Chief of Staff to the Edo State Governor, expressed his delight at the victory of the PDP candidates in the State House Assembly elections. He emphasized that this was a significant win for the state and a triumph over the forces that sought to hinder the development initiatives of the Governor Obaseki-led administration.

The Chief of Staff was unequivocal in his criticism of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, who he referred to as the common enemies of the state. He asserted that the outcome of the election had put them to shame and demonstrated the acceptability of the PDP in the state.

Responding to allegations of electoral malpractice made against him by a Labour Party chieftain, Patrick Eholor, Hon. Osaigbovo Iyoha dismissed the allegations as baseless and unfounded. He stated that Eholor was a meddlesome interloper and a rabble-rouser who had no business being at the collation center. He further noted that the allegations were false and a desperate attempt by the Labour Party to discredit the PDP’s victory.

Hon. Osaigbovo Iyoha, furthermore, congratulated the PDP candidates on their success and thanked the Edo people for voting massively for the party’s candidates. He reiterated the government’s commitment to fulfilling its mandate to provide good governance and development in the state.
