Be prepared to deliver dividends of democracy, Benue Elder, Prof Akoh, tells Benue gov-elect, House of Assembly members-elect.

Renowned Benue State’s Elder, Prof. Dickson Ameh Akoh has congratulated the Benue State’s Governor- elect, Rev. Fr Hyacinth Alia and his Deputy, Dr Sam Ode on their emergence as Governor and Deputy Governor elect from the gubernatorial election conducted last Saturday, 18th March, 2023 in the State.

Prof Akoh said that the emergence of Father Alia as Governor-elect is a confirmation of the yearnings and aspirantions of Benue people for a positive change and development.

Akoh said in a congratulatory message to the good people of Benue State that the victory of Father Alia is indeed a victory for the birthing of a new Benue, where democratic dividends and tangible development are expected to prevail over mediocre and underdevelopment.

Akoh in the message expressed confidnce in the ability of the Governor-elect to change the rhetoric in Benue State through human capital and Infrastructural development in all nooks and crannies of the State.

To him, Fr Alia’s intimidating credentials will in no distant time become manifest in the State.

He advised the Governor-elect to assemble a credible team of technocrats and policy makers with vast experience into the governance of the State so as not to dash the high expectations and the goodwill as demonstrated by the electorates in electing him.

Prof. Akoh equally congratulated all the House of Assembly members-elect on the platform of the All-Progressives Congress in the State

He however charged them to be prepared to give their optimum best in enacting laws that will meet the yearnings and aspirations of the good people of the State.

The Oyachaba K’Idoma also felicitatef with the Leader of the Party, Senator George Akume, the Chairman, Comrade Austin Agada, major stakeholders and the entire APC family for relentlessly working round the clock to secure the landmark victory for the party in the State.
