About eleven commissioners in Sokoto State have left the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to join the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
This is coming shortly after the state’s Deputy Governor, Manir Muhammad Dan Iya, resgned his membership of the main opposition party.
DAILY POST had reported that Muhammad made the disclosure in a letter directed to the PDP Ward Chairman of the Kware Ward, Kware Local Government Area of the State.
The APC holds its presidential campaign rally in the state today.
The APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, will be on ground for the rally.
The defectors would be officially received into the APC by President Muhammadu Buhari during the rally.
Earlier, the state Deputy Governor, Manir Muhammad Dan Iya tendered his resignation letter, indicating his exit from the PDP.
