Lionel Messi-led Argentina Sunday defeated Mbappe’s France on penalties to win the World Cup Final in Qatar.
A penalty in the early minutes of the first half played by Messi after Angel Di-Maria was brought down in the box gave the Argentines an early lead.
The second came after a Messi pass went through to Di-Maria who wasted no time in converting the opportunity.
It was 2:0 in favour of the Argentines before the break.
A second half effort by France yielded an equalizer for the French side as Mbappe converted a penalty to give France a lifeline.

In the second half of the extra time, Messi’s second of the match, put Argentina at an advantage, but it was Mbappe who converted a penalty towards the end of the game to equalize for the French side.
The game then went into penalties with Argentina winning the World Cup after France wasted their penalties.
