The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar has assured the people of Plateau State that that if the party is voted into power come 2023, it will ensure that peace is returned to the state.
He also said if the party is voted into power, they will ensure the revival of the economy of the state.
Abubakar gave the assurance during the PDP presidential rally, while addressing a mammoth crowd at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium, Jos.
He said, “We want to assure the people of Plateau State thay if they vote for the PDP in the 2023 general elections, we will ensure that peace is restored in the state.
“As the home of peace and tourism, we will ensure that the economy of the state is revived.
According to him, “The APC has over the years neglected the roads linking Plateau to its neighbouring states, we want to assure you that, these roads will be constructed, which I believe will also boost the economy of the state.
Earlier in his remarks, the gubernatorial candidate of the party in the State, Barr Caleb Mutfwang, assured that Plateau is the home of PDP and the will vote from top to bottom.
“We will vote for PDP, starting from the president, Senate, house of representatives, governor and state house of assembly; that is why we say we are voting 5/5”, he assured.
Also speaking, the National Chairman of the party, Sen. Iyorchia Ayu, recalls with nostalgia how the PDP got its roots from the State, hence the need for the citizenry to ensure that it reclaims power come 2023.
“The divisions that had hitherto existed in Plateau PDP have mend fences and are ready to work for the success of the party in the state.
“The PDP started with our elder, chief Solomon Lar of blessed memory, therefore it most return to its roots, and I’m convinced that Plateau people are ready to reclaim power come 2023.
“Just from the last PDP administration under the leadership of our elder statesman, Sen. Jonah Jang, we saw the massive infrastructural development in the state.
“With a PDP government in place come 2023, Plateau people will experience better dividends of democracy”, he assured.
