Mr Dan Onjeh, the APC 2023 Benue South Senatorial candidate has dedicated the recent judgement of the court in his favour to Almighty God.
Reacting to the victory, Dan Onjeh told pressmen over the weekend that, “Only three days ago , the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja dismissed for lacking in merit, the case jointly instituted by the PDP and Sen. Abba Moro, challenging my victory in the APC 2023 Benue South Senatorial Primary Election.
“Again on Tuesday, November 28, 2022, the Federal High Court sitting in Makurdi equally dismissed for lacking in merit, the Originating Summons instituted by one of my opponents in the APC 2023 Benue South Senatorial Primary Election, Gen. Joseph Ekwote Ejeh, against my victory in the primary election,” he said.
In a statement, Onjeh said that his campaign organization gladly accepted the recent court judgments, celebrating the twin victories with the greatest measure of humility.
According to Dan, “In our view, it’s time to heal wounds, mend fences and forge unity for the long-overdue liberation of the Benue South people.
“Certainly, only one aspirant could have emerged victorious at the polls, and indeed, any one of my three opponents in the primary election could have emerged the standard bearer of the party, rather than me.
“Therefore, while I must sincerely commend the gallantry and sportsmanship of one of my opponents in primary election, who not only conceded defeat but made out time to congratulate me openly after the primaries, I humbly urge all my opponents in the election.: Hon. Austin Oleho ; Hon. Jacob Ajene and, Gen. Jospeh Ejeh, to kindly lend me their support in the ongoing campaigns. I’ve demonstrated such spirit of sportsmanship myself, in the past.
” I respectfully admit that the APC needs the full support and collaboration of all my esteemed opponents in the last primary election, in order to deliver Benue South to the party in 2023,” he added
He appreciated all opponents in the last APC primary election, and equally appealed that they join hands with him on the very crucial mission. Noted that victory in the forthcoming general elections would equate to a victory for the great party , APC and by implication for all.
