Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Senatorial candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau Southern zone, AVM Napoleon Bali (Rtd) has assured that the Party is ready and well prepared to defeat Governor Simon Lalong and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Bali who is vying for the 2Senatorial seat against Governor Simon Lalong said PDP will deliver and will not allow the APC to cheat them.
The PDP Senatorial candidate disclosed this on Monday while inaugurating the Plateau Southern Atiku/Mutfwang Campaign Council held at Royal Comfort Hotel, Shendam.
He said, “PDP will deliver in Plateau Southern Zone, we will defeat the APC administration, we are witnessing the worst set of government from the Federal to the Local Government levels.
“Our people are suffering untold hardship due to the insensitivity of the APC, insecurity has become the order of the day, and we cannot sleep in our houses with our eyes closed”, he decried.
“The prices of food is on the rise on a daily bases”, Bali further lamented.
This is just but a little of the testimony of the APC-led government, and I want to assure you that the PDP is on the right track, and we will defeat Lalong and the APC, come 2023.
Also speaking, Member Representing Langtang North/Langtang South Constituency in the House of Representatives, who is also the PDP candidate for next year’s polls, Hon. Beni Lar said PDP will win from “top to bottom” due to the hardship brought by the APC administration.
According to her, “Only the PDP will wipe the tears of Nigerians.
“The PDP started in Plateau Southern Zone, through the efforts of late Chief Solomon Lar; therefore I want our people to entrust their vote to Atiku Abubakar, and he will ensure that he wipes the tears of Plateau people and Nigerians.
Lar urged all Party faithful to put their differences aside and ensure power is grabbed from the ruling APC.
In his remarks, State PDP Chairman Hon. Chris Hassan, commended the Party in Zone, for inaugurating the Campaign Council, saying it’s a sign of victory for the PDP come 2023.
According to him, Plateau people are eagerly waiting for positive change.
The chairman pledge that the state will produce more than two million votes for its Presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
He refuted the rumours that the PDP candidates will not be on the ballot paper; saying all the candidates will be duly elected come 2023.
Vice Chairman of PDP Southern Zone Hon. Simon Domle called on all party faithful to put aside all their differences and collectively work for the success of the Party.
