President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked the Director-General (DG) of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Brig-Gen Muhammad Kukah Fadah.
The removal of Gen Fadah’s came barely six months after his appointment.
No particular reason has been given for the DG’s unexpected sack by the Presidency yet. However, credible sources in the Villa told PRNigeria that he was sacked because he had exhibited ‘glaring incompetence’ in the 6 months of being in charge of the corps.
The NYSC Director General has been asked to hand over to the most senior civil servant in the organisation, who is to act as DG in the interim pending the appointment of a substantive DG.
