Obi-Datti support group plans car rally in Southeast states

Must read

Southeastern Regional Coordinator for Obi/Datti campaign organisation, Camrade Ozurumba Chimezie Jeff has said that it has become necessary to organize a political rally across the southeast zone for Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and his running mate, Ahmed Datti.

Comrade Ozurumba said this while briefing journalists in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, and noted that his organization is fully dedicated to Obi and his running mate, and aims at sensitizing and creating awareness as well as convincing people to see reasons why Obi should be voted to become Nigeria’s President in 2023.

The Coordinator said that Obi has proven capacity and credibility as a leader who has demonstrated leadership prowess to tackle the current situation ravaging Nigeria.

He said, “You will agree with us clearly when we say that the security of this Nation at the moment is nothing to write home about because you are well informed. Also, you all know that our economy is visibly in shambles; the price of things has continued to go hiking and people are hungry. No better business opportunities, no better employment opportunities, our production level is nothing to write home about, we keep importing almost everything we consume and we keep depending on other nations to survive, our educational system, health care, and innovation sectors are all deprived of competent and quality leadership, yet, we are the giant of Africa.

“It is therefore important for us to note that to remain the giant, we need to identify and align ourselves with quality leadership. If we truly desire a positive change, we must be confident enough to entrust the mantle of leadership to the youths as leaders of today and not tomorrow.

“This is because the Obi/Datti Carly believes strongly that the youths of this country have long been denied access to good governance, and we have decided to canvas for them to come out en mass and take back their Country in 2023.

“The highlight of our event, the Obi/datti carnally will be on an automobile convoy, and will not be on foot. This would create a hitch-free campaign for us, devoid of human traffic and congestion.

“The rally would be a 100km car drive slated for 19th, 26th November, and 3rd December 2022, across the 36 states and FCT to get everyone involved in the mission to rescue Nigeria from bad governance.”

He added that “In southeast Nigeria, it would be observed in Imo, Abia, Anambra, Enugu, and Ebonyi State respectively. (which would be held on the 26th of November 2022).

The Coordinator continued saying, “As part of my responsibilities as the regional and Ebonyi State Coordinator, I would be leading the Ebonyi State Carly which would take off from mile 50 pastoral centre to Udensi round about, we’ll pass through the old government house down to union bank roundabout.

“Also, we go down to Vanco junction, using Ogoja road to Mechanic village and connect to the express road, down to the international market and Abakaliki central park, we go down to spara in Deo flyover using Afikpo road down to Army military command Nkwagu.

“We will proceed down to Onueke Ezza south, to Amudo Ezza south down to Abaomege flyover Onicha LGA down to Akpoha junction to Afikpo North LGA, down to T-junction taking Afikpo North Headquarters road, down to Eke Afikpo, Ebotrans park taking roundabout, Abaomege flyover Onueke Ezza South back to spera in Deo flyover junction using Enugu/Abakaliki expressway to Presco junction Harach filling station taking G-hostel road back to starting point at pastoral centre mile 50.

“Generally, it’s going to be a fun-filled day for us to sensitize the people on the need to come out on election day and vote for Peter Obi as Nigeria’s president in 2023, because Nation building is everyone’s business, and there’s need to get everyone involved.

“Thank you gentlemen of the press for coming out and may God bless us all, and bless our Principal, Dr. Peter Obi, and his running mate, Dr. Ahmed Yusuf Datti.

“I also wish to say thank you to the National Convener Comrade George Esere for all he has done.”
