Nigeria’s Flamingos Friday afternoon qualified for Semi-Finals in the FIFA under 17 World Cup after defeating favourites, United States (U.S.)
The game had ended one goal apiece in regulation time, with Nigeria taking the lead via a first half penalty converted by Edafe but USA equalized through a deflected shot in the second half.
The game moved in a penalty shootouts with the Flamingos losing only one while the USA equally lost one.
But Nigerian goalkeeper Iwuaku who was brought in towards the end of the regulation time saved a penalty to give Nigeria the advantage of moving into the semi final.
