A teenage boy has been reportedly rescued alive in a Benue river after drown by flood three days later.
There has been reports of some parts of Benue State including Makurdi, the state capital that have been devastated by flood recently.
A Facebook user who posted pictures of the teenage boy carried by community members said the incident happened in Oiji community in Apa Local Government Area of Benue State at the weekend.
The post reads, “This teanage boy was found inside a River alive after three days flood in oiji Apa local government areas of Benue state.”
Another Facebook user wrote, “It is another day of wonder and history in my Community, Oiji in APA Local Govt. Area of Benue State as this boy was recover alive after being drown in the river for 3 days with a search for his body. Only God can explain the mystery.”
Looking very weak, the boy whose identity was not disclosed was carried on the neck of one of the community members and sympathisers were also seen gathered at the bank of the river.
There was no available comment from neither the Police nor the family of the rescued victim on the incident as at the time of filing the report.
