Suspected gunmen have allegedly killed two persons at the Abdulsalam Abubakar General hospital, Gulu, Lapai Local Government Area of Niger state. The gunmen suspected to be bandits also abducted a number of persons.
The incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday.
A doctor in the hospital and a pharmacist were among those abducted.
The bandits reportedly attacked the hospital in their numbers and carried out their operation without much resistance from security operatives.
Eyewitness accounts said one of the two persons killed by the bandits was a retired medical personnel simply identified as Ya- Tachi that resides opposite the Gulu hospital.
Police is yet to confirm the incident.
