UN: Denmark, Finland, S/Korea have best digital infrastructure

The governments of Denmark, Finland and South Korea currently provide the best digital infrastructure for their citizens, a new UN report says.

New Zealand, Sweden, Iceland, Australia, Estonia, the Netherlands, the U.S., Britain, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Japan and Malta follow, the report published in New York said.

For the report, the authors compared the digital services of the 193 UN member states: for example, digital education services, online application portals for participation in social programmes or digital tax returns.

On the whole, they found that the services on offer had improved significantly.

However, some states still have some catching up to do.

The report has beenpublished every two years since 2001. (NAN)
