BREAKING: ASUU Strike: NANS shut down Lagos airport, passengers stranded

Must read

The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, has blocked roads leading to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.

This is in continuation of their protest against the ongoing industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

The students had earlier warned in a statement that they will shut down the nation’s airports across the country.

Amid heavy downpours, the students’ protest caused gridlock on the road leading to the airport, leaving many travelers stranded.

Though the Lagos State Police Command, RRS operatives, Lagos Airport Police Command and other security agencies are on ground, they could do nothing to stop the protest.

Chanting Aluta songs raid the air as the students register their displeasure over the actions of the Federal Government and their continuous stay-at-home over ASUU strike.
