Elected, political appointees and other stakeholders of the ruling All Progressive Party (APC) in Doma Local Government Area were meeting to adopt new strategies on how the party will win the forthcoming 2023 general polls
Mr John Osewu, member representing Doma South constituency at the state legislature said in Lafia during the meeting that it was aimed at discussing on how to win the forthcoming general elections.
He said that APC government had provided the much-needed dividends of democracy in the area, while assuring of their readiness to mobilise support for the party to succeed beyond 2023.
Osewu said: “We came to synergize and see how we can lift the banner of APC in the forthcoming elections.
“And to plan and see how APC will carry the day in Doma Local Government Area during the forthcoming general elections in the country.”
He called on the people of Doma to vote Gov. Abdullahi Sule and other APC candidates during the forthcoming general elections.
“I want to urge the people of Doma to vote APC from up to bottom and from bottom to up.
“As APC has given us all we deserved,” he said.
The lawmaker urged the people of Doma and other Nigerians to live in peace and tolerate one another, irrespective of their differnces.
On his part, Mr Salihu Ena, the Commissioner for Trade, Industry and Investment, urged the people of the area and the state to vote for Sule and all APC candidates come 2023.
He commended Sule for his developmental strides across the state while pledging their commitment to rally round the governor at all times.
” I want to call on the electorate, elected and appointed representatives in Doma to work assiduously to ensure the victory of APC come 2023,” he urged.
The commissioner urged the people of the area and the state at large to vote peacefully in 2023.
On his part, Mr Usman Sarki- Ahmed, the Executive Chairman of Doma Local Government Area urged the people of the area to close ranks and work tirelessly for the success of the party beyond 2023.
“This meeting is to close ranks in order to ensure that APC come out victorious in the forthcoming general elections in the country.
“Besides, we are also looking at the area where we can strengthen the security of our community and harness the dividends of democracy and be able to take it down to the populace,” he said.
The council boss urged the people of the area to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and be God fearing.
Mr Ali Ogoshi, the APC Chairman of Doma Local Government Area urged the people to vote all APC candidates during the polls.
” This is to enable all of us continue to enjoy more dividends of democracy,” he said.(NAN)
