2023: Reps Chief Whip, Onyejiocha berates opposition’s criticisms on Tinubu’s presidential ambition

The member of the House of Representatives, and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Nkeiruka Onyejiocha, has queried those against the choice of former Governor of Lagos State, Ashwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the presidential candidate of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming 2023 general elections in the country.

Onyejiocha who currently represents Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency of Abia State in the green chamber of the national assembly, spoke within the week, bared her minds on the criticisms trialling Bola Tinubu’s emergence as presidential standard-bearer of the governing party in Nigeria during the recently-concluded presidential primaries held by the party leadership ahead of the forthcoming main elections in 2023.

She insisted that Nigeria cannot afford to go backwards and APC represents progress and a brighter future, however, admitted that Nigeria is facing some challenges, positing that there’s no challenge-free country anywhere in the world.

The federal lawmaker stated, “There’s no challenge free nation anywhere in the world. Nigeria is part of the world.

“It is true that we are facing some challenges, but the present government is working hard to ensure we overcome our challenges as a nation.

“Our party APC needs the support of Nigerians across the states because we are better than the rest.

“We have a presidential candidate who is a nationalist, a builder of men and women, an achiever.

She submitted, “Tinubu’s emergence is the best thing that happened to APC.

“A man with no record of discrimination against gender, tribe, and religion

“Why not Tinubu ? A man whose good deeds are already speaking for him”.

On Isuikwuato / Umunneochi Federal Constituency seat 2023 race, Rep Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, who doubled as Chief Whip of the federal House of Representatives, reiterated that she’s working hard with her constituents for greater representation.

Her words, “My constituents are my topmost priority. I am a village woman. I know my people.

“They also know me and they love me. I believe my people are with me.

“It is my desire to do more good and I will always try my best.
