Nigeria number 8, Onyenezide scored the only goal of the match with a powerful diagonal shot.
Nigeria’s next match will be against Canada.
Earlier, Korea Republic had defeated Canada 2:0, putting them ahead of Nigeria with a goal difference.
Nigeria’s qualification has now put Korea Republic in a difficult position as they have to win their next match if there is a winner between France and Canada.
