Peter Obi will defeat Tinubu, Atiku in first half if it were football match – Okupe

Must read

Doyin Okupe, the director general of the Labour Party’s Peter Obi campaign organization has said that the presidential candidate will defeat other aspirants in the first half of the election in 2023.

Responding to a question on an interview he granted to Arise TV and was aired on Saturday morning, Okupe said running against expired and failed politicians makes it easy for the former Anambra State Governor.

According to Okupe in the interview monitored by AFRIPOST: What we see are decorated political caricatures who have essentially and principally expired and have nothing to offer and the people can see through the masquerades.

“If it were to be a football match, it is a game that will be decided even in the first half of the match.”

Okupe further said that Obi is not one of the elites responsible for the problems of the country, saying the former Anambra State Governor was a distinctive Nigerian elite who has contributed tremendously to the growth of Nigeria.

Okupe backed his points with a book written by Ngozi Okonjo Iweala titled “Fighting Corruption is Dangerous”. He cited a portion where Iweala said only Peter Obi, among the governor’s agreed to saving in governance.
