The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has said that the grazing issue should have been handled differently and it shouldn’t have generated the kind of controversy it has under this government.
Atiku while kicking against open grazing during an interview on Arise TV, said he has over 1000 cattle but that they have never left Adamawa to another state.
According to him, the issue of grazing is a state matter and should have nothing to do with the federal government.
“Grazing is a state issue. I have over 1,000 cattles and they have never left the shores of Adamawa.
“The Federation should not have anything to do with that matter at all. It is the responsibility of the state.”
