A coalition of Christian clerics believed to have been hired were on Wednesday, at the official unveiling of Kashim Shettima, a former Borno State governor as the All Progressives Congress (APC) vice-presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections.
AFRIPOST gathered that unpopular clerics were allegedly hired to create the impression that not all Christians are against the controversial Muslim-Muslim ticket.
The event which held at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Centre in Abuja has many APC chieftains in attendance.
Nigerians had taken on Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate and his advisers for opting for another Muslim as his running mate.
Majority of Nigerian Christians have insisted that unless Tinubu picks a Christian running mate, it will be difficult for them to support his aspiration.
But Tinubu has argued that he picked Shettima because of his competence.
