The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate and former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has picked Bishop Isaac Idahosa as his running mate for the 2023 general elections.
This announcement was made via the official Twitter page of the party’s campaign organization on Thursday.
According to the tweet: “Our VP Pastor Bishop Isaac Idahosa from Edo State.”
Bishop Isaac Idahosa from Edo State is the Senior Pastor of God First Ministry, popularly known as Illumination Assembly, with its headquarters at Lekki Light Centre (LLC), Ajah, Lagos.
The cleric who is also a gospel singer, writer, and motivational speaker is popularly known as ‘Prophet Talk Na Do’ by his followers.
Kwankwaso’s choice comes days after the All Progressives Congress, APC, picked Kashim Shettima as Bola Tinubu’s running mate. The party’s decision has been generating reactions from both Christians and Muslims.
Kwankwaso had earlier made an effort to align with Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour Party, but discussion on a possible alliance failed.
