We don’t need an agbado, cassava president – Ehilebo

Must read

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and party’s head of New Media, Anthony Ehilebo has said that at this critical time in Nigeria’s political history, the people do not need an agbado and cassava president.

Recall that a viral video has captured the All Progressives Congress presidential aspirant, Bola Tinubu of providing ag ado and cassava for Nigerian youths that would be recruited into the army.

Reacting to Tinubu’s promise of providing food and the current state of the nation’s economy, Ehilebo told AFRIPOST exclusively that Nigeria deserves someone who will do better than just providing agbado and cassava.

He said: “Look at the economy for instance. We need someone who has the knowledge to change things. Not someone who has promised to give us agbado and cassava.”

The PDP chieftain said Tinubu failed in Lagos because he was unable to translate the abundance in the state to something meaningful.

“Look at Lagos. He has been incapable of translating the abundance in the state to something meaningful.

“He never had a vision. What he has is some bright guys that are coming up. And he has had more than 20 years.

“Since 1999, Tinubu had been in charge of Lagos, but he never had a vision. Tinubu has acquired so much wealth but has not built Lagos. In 3 years, Tinubu will sell everything in this country,” he said.
