Labour Party presidential candidate and leader of the Obe-dient movement, Mr Peter Obi has promised to address the agitation by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, if elected as president of the country come 2023.
Obi assured that he will use the best approach in line with global best practices to engage the agitators in dialogue in order to end the fight.
Speaking on Arise TV morning show on Wednesday, Obi said he had learnt from other countries with regard to the handling of agitations.
Obi blamed poor leadership in the country which he said has been the issue with Nigeria over the years.
Dismissing his support for IPOB, the former Anambra State governor said he had never been involved in any agitation.
He said, “I have never been in any agitation. I had said that the agitation is because of leadership failure over the years. I will engage them in dialogue if elected into power”.
