Benue State Govt coronates Och’Idoma V June 30

The Benue State Government, Idoma Area Traditional Council and the Central Planning Committee (CPC) for the Coronation of the Och’ Idoma V, His Royal Majesty, Agabaidu Elaigwu Odogbo Obagaji John, invite the general public to the Coronation ceremony which holds Thursday, June 30.

According to a statement jointly signed by Hon. (Chief) Ekpe Dennis Ogbu, Chairman, CPC and Hon. Joseph Odaudu, Chairman, Publicity Subcommittee, the venue of the coronation shall be at the Och’Idoma Square, Otukpa in Otukpo Local Government of Benue State.

AFRIPOST reports that a Deeper Christian Life Ministry Pastor, HRH Elaigwu Odogbo John emerged the new Och’Idoma, a paramount Ruler of the Idoma Nation December 30, 2021.

The statement said President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, the Governors of Taraba, Kogi, Plateau, Cross River, Rivers, Enugu and Nassarawa States are among dignitaries attending the occasion.

It also said that respected Royal fathers attending the event from outside the state include the Gbong Gwom Jos, Attah Igala, Aku Uka of Wukari, Emir of Lafia and Emir of Keffi among others.

The Governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom, Deputy Governor, Engr. Benson Abounu, Senators Abba Moro, Orker Jev, Gabriel Suswam, and all other members of the National Assembly from Benue State, the Tor Tiv V and Chairman, Benue State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Majesty, Prof. James Iorzua Ayatse, prominent sons and daughters of Idoma Kingdom such as Senator David Mark, AVM Monday Morgan, Chief Stephen Lawani, General Lawrence Onoja, Professor Ode Ojowu and Chief Mike Onoja among others, shall be on hand to receive the esteemed guests, the statement said.
