Yemi Osibanjo, Nigeria’s vice president and a presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress has left the APC national convention holding at the Eagle Square.
While the votes are still being counted, Onsinajo left the venue of the convention as it’s clear the national leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu is already coasting to victory.
Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State appears poised to clinch the APC ticket ahead of Rotimi Amaechi, Ahmad Lawan and Osibanjo.
There’s been bad blood between the vice president’s camp and Tinubu’s camp, following the former’s decision to join the presidential race, which Tinubu apparently considers an affront.
Tinubu has been sending ‘missiles’ to the camp of the Vice President, with the assertion that he made the VP who he is politically.
He has also boasted that through his effort, the PDP government was removed.
Osinbajo has since the campaign ahead of the primary maintained silence despite allegations that he has betrayed his former boss.
Many had believed that Osinbajo was President Buhari’s candidate, hence his chances in the election were bright. But this appears not to be the case at the Eagle Square right now.
