The Director-General of the Yemi Osinbajo Campaign Organisation, Senator Kabiru Gaya, has said that only two aspirants are still left in the list of presidential aspirants of the All Progressives Congress.
Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo and former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu are the only two contenders now in the contest.
Gaya, who represents Kano-South senatorial district, told Channels Television that three aspirants have stepped down for the Vice President.
However, the senator did spell out the names of the three aspirants but claimed that former Senate President, Ken Nnamani who stepped down on Monday was in honour of Osinbajo.
AFRIPOST had reported earlier that Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, former Lagos State Governor, Bola Timubu and former Transportation Minister, Rotimi Amaechi made the list of the last 3 presidential aspirants going to the primary.
Governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had earlier submitted five names to president Muhammadu Buhari for consideration as the APC presidential candidate.
The names were submitted in the early hours of Tuesday, with those of Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos; Rotimi Amaechi, former governor of Rivers; Yemi Osibanjo, the vice president; Dave Umahi, governor of Ebonyi State and Kayode Fayemi, governor of Ekiti State making the list.
