Former Board Chairman of Project Development Institute, PRODA, Comrade Dan Onjeh has emerged victorious in his quest to contest in the 2023 senatorial election after winning the APC senatorial primary which held on Sunday.
Onjeh who had contested for the same seat two times was announced as the winner after beating other contestants with a wide margin.
Earlier, thugs tried to disrupt the exercise in Otukpo, Benue State.The Chairman, All Progressives Congress, APC, Electoral Committee for Benue South, Hon. Moses Mkeenem, had raised the alarm over the invasion of the election collation centre.
Hon. Mkeenem said the thugs believed to be loyal to one of the aspirants in the election invaded the premises, brandishing guns, machetes and other lethal weapons.
The chairman consequently suspended the collation exercise to resume after enough security had been provided.
But in the result seen by AFRIPOST, Onjeh defeated other contestants including Austin Oleho, Ejeh Joseph, Joseph Ajene, and Nelson Alapa with a total of 127,090 votes to emerge winner of the primary.
