Former Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on prosecution, Chief Okoi Obono-Obla has affirmed that the Cross River State All Progressives Congress, APC, has been cracked beyond redemption.
Obono-Obla stated further that the party had completely shifted from its mission and the ideals of its founding fathers.
In a statement, Obono-Obla, who contested but lost out during the Cross River central senatorial APC primaries yesterday, said the leadership of the party had ganged up against him so as to frustrate him out of the party.
The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Eteng Williams, who polled 152 votes won the APC primary election for the Cross River Central Senatorial ticket.
According to Obono-Obla, “The APC has completely deviated from the philosophy of its founding fathers. Let us see how the anointed aspirants will deliver the Party in Cross River State. As it stands, the Party is fractured beyond redemption,” he said.
