Former Anambra State Governor and presidential aspirant, Peter Obi, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Obi, who has been recommended by Nigerians to be the next president dumped PDP in a letter he wrote to the national leadership of the party.
He hinged his reason on the recent developments in the party. Obi in the letter emphasised his commitment towards rescuing Nigeria from its current state irrespective of the routes he decides to take.
He said the sacrifice of dumping the party he had stayed faithful with over the years was for him to fight to rescue Nigeria.
He consequently withdrew from the presidential primaries of the PDP.
