The archbishop of Cadbury has said that the Nigerian government has not some enough yet to guarantee religious freedom in Nigeria.
The bishop said this while condemning the killing of a Nigerian Christian girl in Sokoto.
Recall that a Nigerian Christian girl was killed in a Sokoto college of education over an alleged blasphemy.
Her killing led to the arrest of some prime suspects which consequently led to a serious riot in the state capital.
But reacting to the development, the archbishop is a series of tweet comeded Muslim leaders for concerning the action of the hoodlums but regretted that religious liberty was tragically absent in Nigeria.
Part of the tweets read: “I’m grateful for those Nigerian Muslim leaders that have condemned this atrocity. I call for renewed efforts by the Nigerian Government to ensure liberty and equality under the law – whether for Christians or Muslims – which was so tragically absent in this case,” he said.
