2023: PDP, Accord, SDP members ready to join APC- Ex-Oluyole LG Chairman

Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan, a former Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to a former governor of Oyo state, late Alhaji Lamidi Adesina has revealed that thousands of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Accord Party and Social Democratic Party (SDP) have indicated interest to join All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

The former Chairman of Oluyole local government area made this disclosure on Tuesday.

Olaosebikan who said that he has joined the Oluyole federal constituency contest ahead of 2023 elections, explained that thousands of PDP, Accord party and SDP members have indicated interest to join APC if he secured the APC ticket.

Olaosebikan, disclosed that he was already busy with calls from members of PDP and other members of other parties that they will join APC if he secured the APC ticket.

The APC chieftain while speaking further, added that he will fight for a better welfare and job security for journalists when he get to the National Assembly.

He said that as a journalist, he will use his membership of the National Assembly to uplift the media profession and its members.

He explained that as Chairman of Strategy, Media and Publicity Committee for the membership registration and validation of APC he was able to register unprecedented number of APC members.

He said, “It is with the ultimate sense of responsibility that I write to inform you that I am contesting to represent the Oluyole Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“Thousands of members of other parties, particularly PDP have already signified their intentions to switch to APC once I secure the ticket.

“My desire is to give the constituency a very robust representation in the Green Chambers and return power back to the people in a unique way, capable of triggering a peaceful revolution in the country.

“I am an experienced politician with deep knowledge and understanding of the federal constituency and the most popular among those seeking the post.

“As a member of the Fourth Estate, I promise to use my membership of the National Assembly to uplift the profession and its members.

“Ever committed to the welfare of journalists, I introduced a monthly stipend without any discrimination as soon as I became the Chief Press Secretary to the governor of Oyo State in June 1999.

“The stipend is being enjoyed till date. It is called KO an acronym for my name Kehinde Olaosebikan. I will fight for a better welfare and job security for journalists when I get to the National Assembly.

“Kehinde Olaosebikan was the Chairman of the Strategy, Media and Publicity Committee for the Membership Registration and Validation last year where he led the committee in registering unprecedented number of people for the All Progressives Congress in the history of party registration the state”.
