A building materials market in Dei-Dei, a suburb of Abuja is said to have been set ablaze following a riot that broke out on Wednesday afternoon over the killing of a man by a trailer driver.
AFRIPOST gathered that the riot broke out between the Hausas and the Igbos in the market after the Hausa boys questioned why their person was killed by the trailer supplying goods to the market.
The confrontation degenerated when part of the market was set on fire amid resistance by the Igbo traders.
Currently, the situation has been brought under control as AFRIPOST gathered that some security operatives have been mobilized to the area.
Efforts by AFRIPOST to reach the DPO, Zuba, and Kubwa police divisions failed as at the time of filing this report.
