Wole Soyinka pays solidarity visit to Sunday Igboho in Benin

Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka, has further shown solidarity Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho when he paid him a visit in Benin Republic on Sunday. 

A statement by the poet’s media team confirmed the visit, displaying a photograph of the literary boss with Igboho and the leader of Yoruba self-determination group, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Banji Akintoye.

No further details were, however, provided by the team. 

Recall that Igboho who stood up for the South West in his campaign against the invasion of the region by Fulani herdsmen had equally agitated for a Yoruba nation. In the course of his agitation, his how was invaded.

Alongside his wife, Igboho was intercepted in Benin Republic after he escaped to the West African country on his way to Germany.
