According to Onochie in his condolence message, “he was indefatigable, and deeply dedicated to their cause. If a yoruba cause, he would be there; for individuals, groups and corporate entities.

“It was like a hard morning of gossip, normally Nigerian, when the information broke.

The PRP chieftain partly said, “Alaafin Adeyemi III had joined his ancestors. Long on the throne of his forebears, for more than half a century.

“Indeed, it was a blessing seeing the combination of the ALAFIN, with other Kabiyesies, especially the Oni of Ife, Ojaja II.

“Thus for the Alaafin unity and stability of all Yorubas, and Nigeria was always paramount.

“The favours of longevity, especially on the throne, gave him an unequalled opportunity to serve and lead his people.

“Nigeria will miss his iconic place amongst our Royal Fathers”.

“May the wisdom of his reign remain with all his people who loved him”.
