A member of the House of Representatives, Nse Ekpenyong, has passed on.
The Cable reports that the lawmaker’s media aide confirmed his death.
Ekpenyong, according to the report died on Saturday.
The cause of death is not available in the media yet.
Ekpenyong was represented Oron/Mbo/Okobo/Udung Uko/Urue Offong/Oruko Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Recall that the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, joined his ancestors on Friday last week, bringing an end to his 52-year-old illustrious reign on the throne.
The king was 83 years of age.
The Oba died at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State. And has historically become the longest-serving Alafin of Oyo.
