2023: I’ll focus on  rural devt, workers’ welfare – Ebonyi Guber Aspirant

A member representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial District, Senator Joseph Obinna Ogba, has declared his intention to run for governorship election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023.

Ogba made the declaration at his campaign office in Abakaliki the Ebonyi State capital after purchasing his nomination and interest form.

Ogba, who is the Senate Committee Chairman on Sports Development, frowned at the level of poverty and unemployment in the state and pledged to develop programmes that would change the narratives if elected the governor in 2023.

According to him, his administration will be basically on people’s welfare and building capacity of Ebonyi economy so that he could provide jobs for the youths, make Ebonyi looks more attractive, suitable and secured for business drive.

The Senator who captioned his campaign slogan as, “Ebonyi Will Be Happy Again”, said he would focus on rural development and welfare of workers.

“Once the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) releases time table for political campaigns, my campaign slogan will be tagged: “Ebonyi Will Be Happy Again”.

“If I’m elected, I shall immediately embark on full restoration of the glory of Ebonyi State and make the people the cornerstone of the government to revamp the environment that has become a den of hunger, anger and politically induced hate and communal clashes,” Ogba said.

He thanked his supporters and promised them that he will soon release his manifestoes in full folds.
