Dr Uche Ogah, the Nigerian Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, has hailed the outstanding qualities of former representative of Abia Central Senatorial zone at the National Assembly and the Pro-chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of the Federal University of Lokoja, Kogi State, Senator Chris Adighije.
This was stated in a goodwill message forwarded to AFRIPOST, while congratulating Senator Adighije, on the occasion of the celebration of his 77th birthday today, Tuesday March 22.
Ogah described Senator Adighije,.as a authentic leader, true elder statesman, patriot and real academician per excellence, who have distinguished himself in many capacities bestowed on him, and recalled the effective and responsive representation of the senator at the 5th National Assembly that fostered incomparable and tremendous developmental strides in Abia central senatorial and Abia state at large.
Ogah noted that Senator Adighije then as federal commissioner at the Revenue Mobilization and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) in Abuja, represented Abia state effectively, raised the bar in boosting revenue base of the nation, and as well as; ensuring Abia received what is accruable to her, towards enhancing her economic growth and development.
He also noted that the ex-parliamentarian has played his role and achieved great marks in deepening the democratic process that came on board in 1999 through law making; and had equally made several intervention and broker peace with political positions, right as then National Treasurer of National Republican Convention (NRC) between 1990 to-1992, and National Secretary, Nigerian National Congress (NNC) between 1988 to 1989.
According to Ogah, “currently as leader in the governing All Progressive Congress (APC) in Nigeria, Senator Chris Adighije has remained committed and undeterred and as well, has continued to play roles and contribute marvelously on the visible and laudable achievements recorded by the APC-led federal government that has solidly deepened democracy in Nigeria today. These among other unprecedented strides achieved by the former Abia central parliamentarian made him to stand tall and which earned him the present appointment as the Pro-chancellor and Chairman Board Council, Federal University of Lokoja, Kogi State.
“At home in God’s Own State, Abia, history will be kind to Senator Chris Adighije, for his wonderful contributions and existence, as well ongoing process tilted at consolidating political stability being enjoyed by the people and leaders in Abia state irrespective of tribal, religion and party backgrounds. He is a loyal party which he has equally demonstrated, and he has remained vocal and at the foreburner on the genuine desire and yearnings of the large population of Abia citizenry and residents for enthronement of purposeful leadership address the myriads of deficits in Infrastructure and economic of Abia State.”
Ogah however congratulated the celebrant on the occasion of his birthday celebration and wished him a successful and wonderful celebration of his birthday.
