Abia APGA Financial Secretary, Nwanaga resigns, realigns with APC

Party chieftain, Comrade Nnamdi Nwanaga, has resigned his position as the Financial Secretary of Abia State chapter of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

Nwanaga who announced in a letter dated March 20th, 2022 and addressed to the National Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye.

The letter was also copied to the APGA Deputy National Chairman, Engr Uchenna Okogbuo, Southern Nigeria and the Abia Working Committee of the party, and issued to newsmen in Umuahia, on Monday.

He hinged his sudden resignation as Financial Secretary of the State chapter of the APGA on realignment with a leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and former two-time governorship flagbearer of the APGA in Abia State, Dr Alex Chioma Otti.

He posited that he had carefully assessed all this who are aspiring for governorship seat of the state in the upcoming 2023 general election and arrived at the decision with members of his family, that the only most credible aspirant capable and determined to run and perfectly serve people of Abia state is Dr. Alex Otti, considering the great impact he made in Nigerian and global financial and banking institutions and the huge impact he has made in Abia’s education and social sectors.

The ex-APGA officer however pledged to work with Otti in redeeming the state from myriads of problems impeding its socio-economic and Infrastructural growth and development.

According to him in the letter which partly read, “there comes a time when the baton must be passed on in this political party marathon journey, in the interest that supersedes my personal interest.

“It’s in view of this, I write to inform you and publicly announce my resignation from the position of State Financial Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Abia State Chapter on this day, 20 March, 2022.

“I thank you for the opportunity given to me to serve in APGA”.
