Umahi apologises over remarks against judge, engages 17 SANS for appeal

Must read

The Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, on Wednesday, retracted his uncomplimentary remarks against a judge of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, Justice Inyang Ekwo.

Umahi also tendered an apology to the Nigeria Barr Association, NBA following the remarks.

His apology came while he was addressing over two thousand members of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ebonyi State at a solidarity rally held at the Udensi roundabout aimed at declaring support and loyalty to the governor.

He said he had mobilized over seventeen (17) SANs to appeal the judgment of the Abuja Federal High court.

Umahi was sacked for defecting from the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the ruling APC. The judge held that the votes he got under his former party were not transferable.
