Ebonyi State House of Assembly, has on Monday impeached Deputy Speaker Rt Honourable Obasi Odefa and declared his seat vacant.
Recalled that since the defeaction of Ebonyi State Governor, Engr David Umahi, crisis agony have collapsed Ebonyi State House of Assembly.
According to the letter read and signed by the former speaker, he said that People’s Democratic party has done well to him and that he was the most privelege and highest beneficiaries of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, therefore he connot work against his concious, adding that his contituent who voted him will not see him in other political part .
He further stated that Umahi’s defeaction to All Progressive Congress (APC) is a bridge of law, considering the fact that it was stated in the 1999 Nigeria Constitution that no elected officials who should directly or indirectly leave the party he/she contested on
