The Academic Staff Union of Universities has declared what it termed a “comprehensive and total” strike.
The announcement officially came at a press conference addressed by the President of ASUU, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, on Monday.
This followed earlier speculation that the union was embarking on a one-month warning strike.
The union had been in a marathon meeting since Saturday at the University of Lagos.
The press conference on the strike is currently ongoing.
